It’s that time of the year! Where all moms out there are looking for easy and comforting meals, to put on the table for the family to enjoy. This is just that, it is delicious and easy to make. Shepard’s pie is a British dish that is meat and vegetables on the bottom and mashed potato on top with parmesan cheese.
Tailor the recipe to your family’s liking
One of the reasons I love this recipe so much is that you can add an assortment of vegetables. While I was making this recipe for you guys today, I had 2 kids crying at my feet. Usually, I chop the carrots and add either peas or celery. But to be honest, whenever I use any green vegetables in this dish….or any dish, my kids pick them out lol.
How does Gordon Ramsey make shepherd’s pie?
I think I like Gordon Ramsey’s version better 😉 But that is what is so great about cooking your own food! you can add or take out any ingredient.
This time I went basic, with onion and shredded carrots. This is the way Gordon Ramsey makes it though! with shredded carrots, he also shreds the onion.
